      Lovely food, had to wait a while for it though even though it was the express menu. Beautiful restaurant, light and airy.

      We have eaten quite often in the Hawksmoor restaurants in London and had confidence that the quality of food would be of a high standard. Sadly, the Chateaubriand that we ordered as medium rare was overcooked, difficult to cut, and chewy! Not the velvet texture that one would normally expect. Despite waiting around 50 mins for our food, the service was great and the server dealt with our complaint very well and with professionalism. The surroundings were good although quite a bit of background noise, which is not really that uncommon these days.

      Beautiful restaurant, staff were fabulous 👌🏻 and the food was spectacular. We will definitely be returning.

      Our steaks were cooked to perfection. Extremely good service from our server T.J. He was friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. Excellent service and excellent food.

      The service in this place is abysmal, they messed up our order, it arrived out of sequence and their attempts to correct it made it worse. The starters oysters and scallops were very really good, but waiting for over an hour for them to get it right was a joke. Our main course was just ok, the manager did try and make amends by comping the oysters and free glass of wine. To add insult on to injury the bill included service charge which we declined. This place needs to take staff training a lot more seriously than they currently appear to do. Would not recommend there are better steak house in Edinburgh.
