Hearsay’s modern take on American cuisine and cocktails combines with the distinct atmosphere and music of the 1930s to create a space that is warm, inviting, and unlike any other in Southern Oregon. Situated just below the beloved Oregon Cabaret Theatre and a three-minute walk from the world-renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival.

Garden seating is based upon availability at the time of your reservation. If requested, and not available we will place you in the dining room or lounge. Please note: pets not allowed in the garden. Thank you!

Reserved thanksgiving for my family a few weeks in advance. They ran out of 2/3 appetizers and all of the deserts except the two ice cream/ sorbet options. I flew in to see my family and convinced them eating out would be better than cooking and now I feel foolish because it was extremely disappointing. I understand running out of things at the end of the night but for a pre reserved special occasion menu at set price when you knew exactly how many people would be there is unacceptable. They did charge us a lot less in the end which was the right thing to do but it was still a huge bummer especially when booked ahead of time for a holiday menu.

Lovely evening from the welcome to the service and the chef’s kiss food. Shout out especially for the ahi appetizer. Soo delicious!

Hearsay has become our favorite restaurant in Ashland. We've been eating here since they opened, and it just keeps getting even better and better. The food is delicious and beautifully served, and the service is outstanding: warm, thoughtful, professional and always welcoming. Don't miss the goat cheese/hazelnut appetizer and if you like salmon, it's always perfectly cooked. Whether eating in the inviting dining room or the lovely garden, every meal here is just a wonderful dining experience.

We enjoyed a lovely meal at Hearsay. The atmosphere is beguiling and well worth visiting even if only for a drink. The location is convenient to downtown and all of the theaters. We pass through Ashland regularly and we wi certainly return.

Hearsay never disappoints. We love coming here before the theater! The menu changes about every six months so tonight was a new experience for us. The butternut squash and mushroom soup was so good I could easily make a meal of just that, but I opted for adding the short ribs with polenta and spinach. Yummmm! I’m coming back!

We had a great time with friends and some good food!! Their drinks are legit! I got the cucumber margarita with tequila (it’s listed as a non alcoholic beverage) and it was amazing. The chocolate crème brûlée was chefs kiss.

An elegant setting complete with live piano music on Friday evening. The King Salmon was prepared perfectly and the vegetarian entree was flavorful and plentiful. Cocktails are expertly prepared. We'll be back!

Dinners were excellent and enjoyed by all. Drinks are a bit overpriced but that seems to be the norm.overall it was a very enjoyable experience in a very comfortable environment.
