                                                        This was New Year's Eve 2024. I wanted my family to have a great dinner experience. Unfortunately, it did not happen. I am from out of town and wanted so much to have a good dinner experience. We arrived at 7pm as I had requested. There was no one at the front to greet us. We waited a few minutes and finally she came. We were a party of five. They put us in an empty table with no napkins or utencils. We waited about 15 minutes for the waitress to come. I went back to the front and told her. Her response was that they only had 2 servers that night and that they were washing the napkins and drying them. My goodness, what a thing to say to a customer. Finally, the waitress appeared and gave us all a menu and glasses of water. The menu was very limited for dinner, and the Ropa Vieja had finished. The dishes we wanted were no longer available. We had to settle for hamburgers and sandwiches. Well, finally we had to pay the bill. I gave her cash. It took about 20 minutes and never came back to me .. We got tired of waiting. The waitress was attending other tables and I guess forgot about us. A manager came to us since we all were standing with our coats on. She finally took care of our bill. I feel that, first of all, management needs to staff their restaurant accordingly. I have eaten at this location several times, and all has been great. T think they have changed chefs and the menu. It's not like before. It's a shame because the food was so good. I am from Florida and love to visit Asheville. I hope Hemingway's Cuba steps up to what it used to be.

                                                        Oh my goodness!! If you have never been to Hemingways, it's an Asheville must!! While the inside is not the most wow as far as interiors go, the views and the rooftop area make up for it. The food and the drinks are incredible... can't go wrong with anything you order and the service is friendly and efficient. Will be going back again!

                                                        Limited menu/ bar food-ish now and no longer the fun swanky restaurant it used to be. Service is not great and the food isn’t good.

                                                        Service was ok but the food was horrible. Sent out entree back because it was cold and came out 2 minutes after we ordered. The nachos came out second and looked good but were flavorless. The burger we ordered our child came from the regular menu and was a double burger because they couldn’t make anything from the kids menu except chicken fingers. Much better restaurants in the area.

                                                        Really disappointing. I made xmas reservations weeks ahead. They called the day before and said they were not going to be open but they made reservations for us at another restaurant. We went all the way down there at our reserved time and found that resturaunt was closed too. zReally bad custermer service on this one.

                                                        Understaffed, inadequate portions, the bartender seemed inexperienced, and the female staff member that night was extremely rude (confrontational) to the bartender. We couldn’t recommend this restaurant to others and we will not be returning.

                                                        As a resident of the Asheville area, I was excited to return back downtown for a night out to celebrate my anniversary. I walk into Hemingway's to walk past a breakfast buffet line pre-set for the next morning. Then notice only walk-up service at the bar. After further investigation, we found out their menu was limited to only a handful of bar items. We promptly walked out!! This was not going to be where we celebrated our anniversary! We were disappointed their website didn't acknowledge their minimum menu or service options. Very disappointing and not what we expected for such a 'usually" quality establishment. Be honest with us, please.
