Henri Brasserie Française is a grand restaurant, the likes of which only appear once in a decade. Set in the landmark Birks Building located in the heart of downtown Montreal and connected to the new Hotel Birks Montreal 5-star Hotel, Henri presents a cuisine of today, inspired by the timeless traditions of the grand French brasseries. Our gourmet and comforting dishes created by our chef showcase the finest Canadian and Quebec seasonal products from coast to coast. We dined there two nights because we were staying at the hotel Both nights we had to ask for bread and the second night my cod was covered with a sea of mousse and served on bed of walnut crunch. I couldn’t see the fish. The vegetables were mediocre. The first night I had a steak a classic French dish served at all bistros. It was excellent.

We had a horrid experience. Unfortunately, Henri continued serving its brunch menu well past when the meals were still good to be the served. The fish was over cooked, dry, and bland, while the beouf lacked any remaining moisture. Our cocktails were the highlight of the meal, though they arrived after our meal. Our server checked on us not one time between taking our order and our meal arriving 30 minutes later. We were so looking forward to a good dining experience but were sadly very disappointed. If you are looking to celebrate a special occasion, do not waste your time with this establishment, their service and food does not match their pomp or prices.

But noisy at the start but it was super busy due to Christmas. Amazing food and presentation. Was a great Christmas lunch

Good experience, albeit quite crowded and busy for Christmas Eve. Wonderful menu & food. Harried wsiteess was late to greet us. Noisy, but part of the Brasserie vibe. Impressive space in hotel DR formerly Birks Jewelry store. Nicely decorated for Christmas.

Superbe expérience bon menu avec des assiettes succulentes, un bon service, un beau décor je recommande et ns y retournons continuellement et sommes toujours heureux d’y retourner! 🤗😍
