Located in Nashville's Germantown neighborhood, Henrietta Red is an acclaimed oyster bar and restaurant. It boasts a welcoming barroom, spacious dining room, oyster bar, and a temperature-controlled, enclosed patio.

Chef Julia has been recognized as one of the Best Young Chefs in America by Robb Report and as one of Food & Wine Magazine’s Best New Chefs in 2018. Good, not great as a whole, better bang for buck for taste/portion size elsewhere, service was okay, nice people working but attention for much of night seemed elsewhere when we were celebrating a birthday. Raw oysters were best part of meal for sure, complimentary champagne for birthday was nice and creative, but we also saw a couple two tables down from us get a dessert with a birthday candle which would’ve been a nice touch with our dessert (which we paid for). Overall, okay but other options in area that do the job better.

Food amazing, atmosphere peaceful, cool open kitchen, lovely experience from start to finish! Highlights were the oysters and smoked fish appetizer.

We were excited to try a new restaurant before a concert. We were seated promptly, with the nicest table in the room. However, the seating in the banquet was sagging and lumpy. The cocktail menu didn’t really excite us (unusual for us) so we stuck with water. The oysters were delicious and well presented. However, when the only things you really liked were the bread and oysters, you know there’s an issue. I had the mushroom steak. It had an odd texture and flavor. My husband had the snapper. Portion sizes for the cost left us hungry. Our server went missing for a good period of time. We had to ask for more water even. Overall, we were disappointed.

The monkey bread was very dry and the polenta under seasoned and a bit bland but generally it was good. My husband liked his burger and fries.

Some of the best shucked and curated oysters in Nashville if not the best. I work in the industry and everything here is top notch. Small plates are amazing and my wife loved all the drinks. I don’t drink and the NA options are really great. For an amazing night it isn’t too expensive and has parking nearby. Would highly recommended to anyone who likes interesting well executed food and drinks. Place was a little loud but what else do you expect from a popular place on a Saturday night?
