HK Lounge Bistro has been reborn in the SoMa district. We specialize in handmade Dim Sum and Hong Kong Style Chinese cooking.

Reservations:
Walk-in are welcome but reservations are highly recommended. You may also call the restaurant and speak with our host for availability.

The reviews I read were “spot-on” about small and easy to miss. But we were there at opening (10:00am) with reservations and the restaurant was not full. By the time we left is was at capacity. I gave a 4 because of the lotus leaf sticky rice. There was a flavor that really was offensive to me. It tasted like I was eating flowers. I am not saying it suffered in quality, I just did not like the flavor and I have had this dish elsewhere many times (from Houston).

Excellent HK style Chinese food in a relaxed old Hong Kong restaurant atmosphere. The beef and turbot mains were outstanding and there many very good dim sum/appetizer options. The So family provides a very local and friendly atmosphere. Can’t wait to take my family back.

The food here is next-level. Had the tasting menu and each and every dish was inventive and wonderfully executed. The rib-eye cap stir fry and fried turbot shined. The shrimp with noodles amazing.

These are the dumplings I've been missing for years. They are so delicate and tender. We tried the Siu Mai, Roasted Duck and Peanut Dumpling, Steamed BBQ Pork (this was a standout, the Char Siu is made in house and is moist and delicious, and the bun doesn't overwhelm the meat), Salt and Pepper Prawns, Pork Soup Dumpling and the Shrimp Dumpling. There are so many other dishes we wanted to try so we will be back soon!

Continue to love the food here. We had the roast duck, rex sole with green beans, sweet & sour Berkshire pork and seasonal Taiwanese "A" vegetables and they were all so delicious, especially the pork! The black sesame rice balls for dessert came out warm and fresh too. The service was attentive as usual. Can't wait to be back!

It was a wonderful dinner!! If I were living near by, I would definitely come by every week. Even just for only fried rice, I had “Yang Chow fried rice” and it was one of the best-fried rice that I haven't had in a long while.
