    The German American band does an awesome job! Love seeing them play. Food and beer were great as always. Megan was great as a server. Will be back soon!

    Got there for our 8:30 reservation. There was a DJ playing music so loudly you couldn’t think. Forget having a conversation. When we sat down we were handed full menus. We placed our drink order and a pretzel appetizer. I ordered by saying “ we will start with”. At NO time did the hostess or the waitress ever say that food orders stop at 9. She never can back around to get our order until 9:15 at which time no food was being served. No apologies, no nothing. She said “yeah that happens a lot”. We will not be returning. We will save our experience for the real deal in Germany that plays authentic music and serves actual food.

    We came in on a Wednesday a night when there is no live music or entertainment. Also, it was snowing. So I get that. It was going to be a quiet night. It was my son‘s 21st birthday, and he was excited to eat at the Hofbrau house. Unfortunately, the staff was in a hurry to leave and they rushed us at the end of our meal. Which was weird because the service was slow and they forgot a bunch of our items so we had to ask for them again. Overall, it was kind of surprising that a night with only a few customers they really dropped the Ball . I guess the take-home message is don’t go there during the week.

    We go regularly to the Hofbrauhaus because we are Steinmasters. As much as I love the beer, the food leaves something to be desired! The quality of the food has really dropped off the last 6 months or so! And the prices are becoming ridiculous! I really wish they had more Bavarian fare, like weisswurst, but they took it off the menu about a year ago. The schnitzel is not pounded out, like a good schnitzel is supposed to be, and the prices are becoming like Disney prices…way too expensive for what you get! The portions have been getting so much smaller over the last year or two! Our group of Steinmasters are actually considering to go somewhere else for dinner, and just coming to the Hofbrauhaus only for the beer after. This is so sad, because we really do like the place.

    We met up with some dear friends last night for a dinner we had been looking forward to since before the holidays. Looking forward to catching up and some great conversations we were incredibly disappointed because the music (first from the live band and then just piped in while the next band was setting up) was just TOO LOUD!!! We couldn’t hear a thing each other was saying whether sitting next to or across the table. We asked our server if she could do anything and while she apologized she also said she would mention it to the manager. NOTHING changed and no one from management even came to speak to us. As the restaurant filled up, the noise level increased even more. While the Nineties band was setting up it only added to the uncomfortable loudness. I have never experienced this level of loudness in a restaurant before. And neither had our friends. After sharing the large Pretzel and dips we considered leaving to go find a quieter place. However, we stayed because our order was in and it was already after 7:30pm. The food was very good!! No complaints! Portions were generous. Again, we considered going elsewhere for dessert but stayed to try the Black Forest Cake and Apple Strudel. Both were wonderful! That being said, we won’t return because both my husband and I value our hearing and prefer to talk with one another and our friends while enjoying a night out. Maybe it’s different at lunch time? I just won’t take the chance to find out.

    Noise after the band was unacceptable level unless you were in your teens or 20’s. All in all good good, great service.
