   Open table allowed to book and later asked to confirm, but after walking 30 minutes from our hotel we found the restaurant was closed. Ruined our last night in Venice as we lost an hour wandering about due to poor organisation of the restaurant. If closed why allow bookings to be made on open table and then confirmed! Need to review booking system as this is not acceptable.

   We enjoyed Christmas Eve dinner at Hostaria Castello. Our dinner was excellent and the service was superb. The setting was quaint and quiet.

   Best restaurant in Venice so far! Love every dish i had, will definitely come back! It’s worth the long flight all the way from Sydney, Australia!! Grazie mille! ❤️

   We enjoyed this very small and quaint restaurant in a quiet district of Venice. It is a beautiful walk along the quieter canals from San Marco area. The food and service were excellent. The restaurant is a little quiet so you are whispering. Mostly tourists. No locals. But overall very good.

   A superb small restaurant with 16 covers only. Book early so to not be disappointed. Cod to start had amazing sauce background and the suckling pig was tender and ruch. The risotto was amazing. No tuna on the day , it was off the menu unfortunately. Local wine selection was a good one. A warm welcome from the two waiters and impeccable service. Special place. Be prepared though to be close to other diners , if you want a private conversation might be tricky! Loved the vibe here!

   We attended this restaurant as scheduled, however, we found it closed up and locked. We didn’t receive any communication from the restaurant or from yourselves regarding this. We can’t understand why this was so. This was a particular busy evening in Venice - Feste Redentore and as it happens our ruby wedding anniversary. Extremely difficult to find a decent restaurant without any advance notice. Simply not good enough.

   open table had the location mapped in the wrong place, which added a half hour to our walk, but it was worth it! The food is fresh and inventive with nice portion sizes. The restaurant is small and intimate with only about 7 tables, great for adults, but not for families.
