I recently visited Hotel Bennett for their Mother’s Day brunch, filled with anticipation and excitement to celebrate this special occasion. However, my experience was marred by a significant lack of attentive service, leaving me deeply disappointed.
Upon arrival, my girls and I were the first to be seated. However, as time passed, it became evident that there was no one assigned to attend to our table. We waited patiently, hoping that someone would eventually notice our presence and offer us the attention typical of a fine dining experience, especially on a day as significant as Mother’s Day. Unfortunately, that moment never came.
The absence of a dedicated server meant that we had to fend for ourselves throughout the entire meal. We had to flag down passing staff members for basic needs. This not only disrupted the flow of our meal but also detracted from the celebratory atmosphere we had hoped to enjoy.
What made this experience particularly disheartening was the fact that my mom, whom I had eagerly planned to treat to this brunch, couldn’t join us due to unforeseen circumstances. The disappointment of not having her with us was compounded by the lackluster service we encountered.
As someone who values not just the quality of food but also the overall experience, I hope Hotel Bennett takes this feedback seriously. While the ambiance and menu offerings were promising, the service aspect fell short of expectations.
