Our experience began by them not having a reservation that we had made & confirmed on OpenTable over three weeks ago. They are trying to honor them so don’t make a reservation here. Go use Tok. They directed us to the bar to wait, but they do not transfer your bar tab to your table so you’ll have to close out so the timing is off there
our bar server was very nice. The drinks a bit overrepresented & overpriced.
Our main server also was very nice, however, the timing was very off which he attributed to the lack of help.
The drinks were good but overrated for the price much more ice than drink…. we waited 40 minutes for our first drink at table , and they brought one out at a time rather than both so one of us had a drink and the other did not.
The entertainment was supposed to last throughout the evening- it says on their website that the solo hula dancer starts at 8:15. She was done at 8:15.
so was the music group….
This is a very hard to get into place and while it is very nice, it is surprising that it is that hard to get into- there were empty tables and it was great service but not superb service and there’s a difference.
Hawaiian dinner roll served room temp. Butter was hard/cold so it did not melt.
our appetizer trio of different fish was good, but they were salads. They were not worth the price, not in Hawaii where you can get a fantastic bowl for 1/2 the price
The braise ribs were the best we’ve ever had on islands, however.
We also had the local catch, which was good but again we had to wait longer than we should have…
just two short staffed, the waiter did not check on us often enough
we also would have ordered wine with our meal, but no one had time to offer it to us .
