At Hualu we provide the premium dining experience for you with authentic Chinese cuisine crafted by our Head chef to ensure the standard maintains the highest level possible.

Our Peking Duck chef who is from Bei Jing which is the city of origin for this signature dish is passionate to provide our guests the real taste of Peking Duck.

We also have a wide range of live seafood for your selection whether you fancy a daily caught fish, crab or lobster.

Yum Cha service is provided during Lunch time daily, we also have private dining rooms which can cater up to 22 people, should you wish to organize a private room please call directly at 9551 8888.

Food was very good. Really bad table service. Only 90 min seating and before you know it the manager comes and tells you to hurry up. Not much of mannerisms or courtesy. Quite rude actually. Makes the night rather unpleasant.

My husband and I had a meal here for our anniversary. It has become an anniversary tradition for us to have Peking Duck, as part of our celebrations and have been to different restaurants in Beijing, London, and all around Melbourne to enjoy this dish. We felt the Peking Duck set meal at Hua Lu was one of the best we’ve had anywhere in the world- including the many different restaurants where we had this dish in Beijing. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

This was my second Birthday I've spent with loved ones at Hua Lu and as always it was fantastic. The Peking duck was divine and all of the other dishes we shared were incredible also. The staff were friendly and helpful and the venue gives the perfect mix of elegance and comfort. I'd love to see some mocktails on the venue for those who don't drink alcohol. This is going to become a yearly Birthday tradition I'm sure. 😊

1) We ordered drinks and they didn't have SO MANY things. Not just talking alcoholic but non-alcoholic. Like it is a restaurant how do you not have more than 50% of menu items. 2) We asked for spoons 4 times to 4 different people. Waited so long for it. 3) My friend accidentally knocked her water but the waiter was rude by asking if she was drunk. 4) Servers were not friendly at all and so eager to clear our plates. We WERE NOT even finished. There was literally food left on the plate and they wanted to clear it.

The catering products are pretty good, among which the boiled fish is relatively delicious. However, it may be due to the first day of the Lunar New Year that there are more customers, and the service needs to be further improved.

While the food was generally still tasty, I found the quality has decreased a bit - like the Peking duck not as crispy as before. The overall ambience has also cheapened with the plastic table cloths and service was not great. It was hard to get waiters attention and also they weren’t very friendly or helpful.

Food was okay for Sunday Yum Cha, however we were put into the VIP room and service then became non existent. Multiple times I had to flag down a waiter to get food from the carts.

Visited this restaurant for Yum Cha, and I must say the food was excellent! Every dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and of outstanding quality. The consistency and attention to detail in the preparation truly set this place apart. The staff were wonderful—friendly, attentive, and efficient. They made us feel very welcome and ensured we had a pleasant dining experience. That said, there are a couple of areas for improvement. Firstly, basic sauces like soy sauce and chili oil should be placed on the table as a standard without guests needing to ask. It’s a small touch that makes a big difference in convenience. Secondly, for larger tables (we had a table of 8), a lazy Susan would make sharing dishes much more practical. It’s surprising that this is reserved only for the Premium Room. Overall, a fantastic experience with a few opportunities to elevate the service to match the high-quality food. Looking forward to coming back!
