Ambiance: Group of 8 gals did a pop-up event on the patio. The patio is covered but small. And our table had a side facing south. Normally, in7 Dfw, south facing is a death wish. But today, it was a blessing, 79 degrees at end of december. Wear shades. Food is over-priced. The waiter was amazing. Somehow, the ambiance/conversation proptemed him to sing,
Menu/Food: Our waiter was extremely kind and attentive to explain he menu and/or confusing things. For example: The description of fish tacos refers to fish being served with cole slaw and salad. Doesn't explain the slaw isnt a side - which it isn't and doesn't explain the salad is a side - which it is - and it's mid-size. Customer wanted to get brocolli vs cole slaw as a swap. NO can't swap. Get youbrocolli on the side for extra. BUT I will tell you - its darn good GOOOD brocolli. REAL fresh brocolli with parm. Perfectly cooked. HOWEVER -- the waiter did seem befuddled on the substitution request. I also want to mention: They have a great raw oyster selection - they will give you a menu of oysters to pick from. Problem is: Minimum order is 6 pieces and the average price per piece is 3.75.
Suggestion we made to waiter - to take back to MGMT: Drop the minimum of 6. That rule kept us from purchasing this product. Remove the rule = then the oysters will disappear faster.
Other: The patio chairs are unraveling. For some reason (we know why), MGMT hasn't replaced them. Instead, they are using random wire to hold the armchairs together. Not a great thing for anyone with a new set of swag shirts or pants - or jewelry. FIX IT.
This is a great spot for anyone traveling. Locals love it. Your pocketbook will love it more if you go during HH 3-6
