Hugo's Frog Bar & Fish House opened its doors in February 1997 in the heart of Chicago's Gold Coast neighborhood, next to sister restaurant Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse. Over Enjoy the city's finest seafood restaurant, Hugo's continues to be the destination for premier east and west coast oysters, crudos, frog legs, lobster and seasonal fish and shellfish, in addition to Gibsons Prime Angus and Gibsons Grassfed Australian steaks. An extensive wine list, classic cocktail list and selection of impressive signature desserts accompany the menu of fresh seafood, steaks and chops. Beautiful private dining and events spaces available. Gluten-free and vegan options available. Happy Hour Sun-Thurs, 3-6pm.

Groups will have exclusive access to the entire semi-enclosed Frog Pond which includes several high top tables, chairs and banquette seating. Order a la carte from the regular menu or indulge in Hugo’s Happy Hour specials, including half-priced bottles of wine, oysters, and firecracker shrimp, and enjoy a complimentary glass of prosecco for everyone in your group!     Hugo's is our no-brainer go to for an excellent meal and a nice night out. Consistently outstanding food, service, and atmosphere. Our waiter Josiah was incredible. Very professional and attentive.

    We started by being seated next to a door that led to a packed room. Each time the door opened it hit my husband so we moved. My whitefish was very dry and mash potatoes were semi warm My husband's walleye had a strong fishy smell and also overcooked. Service was good and cocktails large.

    Excellent !!!!!! I went there 2 nights in a row. The ambiance, food, and service is top tier. When you go ask for Denice she is the most amazing server ever, it just added the cherry on top of our dinning experience. The food is chefs kiss! The steaks and seafood are phenomenal, We also recommend the chicken and potatoes dish the chicken breast was very moist and flavorful. This is a must when you visit downtown Chicago

    Wonderful evening as always when you dine at Hugo’s. Everything was superb in a way only they know how to do. The Bookbinder soup - my gosh - you. must. get. it.

    I was not actually thrilled by our waiter. He forgot something that was ordered. Food came out unevenly our drinks took a long time to get.

    Loved our meal and experience from start to finish. Rene was a great server. Manager Dwayne added a nice personal touch to the evening. Hugo’s and Gibson’s do it right every time.
