Outstanding Dining Experience at Hunter & Co. – A Night to Remember
This past Friday night, my partner and I had the pleasure of dining at Hunter & Co., and it was nothing short of spectacular. It was my second time visiting in the past four years, and I was beyond excited to return. My partner had never been before, so I was eager to share this experience with them—and it absolutely did not disappoint.
We decided to share four dishes between us, and from start to finish, every bite was a delight.
We kicked things off with the Beet and Burrata ($28)—a beautifully balanced dish with arugula, fennel, olives, and blood orange. The flavors were a perfect symphony, bursting in our mouths with every bite. A true flavor explosion!
Next, we had the Scallop Ceviche ($28), prepared with citrus, soy, sesame, and a delicate tapioca cracker. This dish was an absolute dream—the scallops literally melted in our mouths. Every element complemented the next, making it one of the highlights of the evening.
For our mains, we shared two dishes. First was the Bone Marrow & Caviar ($40)—a unique and playful take on surf and turf, featuring salsa verde, lumpfish roe, and samphire. While the flavors weren’t my personal favorite, my partner thoroughly enjoyed it. I appreciated the creativity and execution of the dish.
But the real star of the night—the dish I will be dreaming about for weeks—was the Lamb Shank ($38). Fall-off-the-bone tender, served with curry masala and naan, it was rich, comforting, and packed with deep, aromatic flavors. As I write this review, my mouth is watering just thinking about it!
To top off an already exceptional evening, we sat at the bar and were served by Harry, an absolute superstar in the hospitality industry. His service, knowledge, and attentiveness truly enhanced our experience, making us feel welcome and well taken care of.
We ended the night with espresso martinis, which were just as delicious as everything else.
