Born in Hong Kong in 2003, Hutong restaurant quickly became much loved for its contemporary and occasionally fiery Northern Chinese cuisine as well as its stunning views of the Hong Kong skyline. The restaurant received many awards including the first Michelin star award to a Chinese restaurant in the city. Today there are five Hutongs in the family - London, which opened in 2008 in The Shard, Europe’s tallest building; New York opening in 2019, named the fifth-best restaurant by the New York Times; Miami also opening in 2019 and Dubai in 2020. Each Hutong shares the same DNA but has its look and character - much like sisters. Hutong is part of Aqua Restaurant Group.

the restaurants décor is funky and inviting with great views of Dubai's museum of the future. Service -attentive, knowledgeable , friendly with a sense of humour. The food was amazing - modern take on Chinese food. The starters were generous in portion size and delicious ( Rose prawn dumpling and beef millefeuille)I. The main course -wok fried prawns were delicious and huge prawns ...needed some greens with it and the fried rice was more of a side dish then a main meal. I usually have fruit as a desert with Asian food . This time I had the " golden fortune" mango and cocunut with passion fruit ganache it was amazing . Great wine list too.
