Beachwood Ohio’s most popular fine dining restaurant, the Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse is an award-winning prime steakhouse specializing in aged USDA prime steaks. Located on Chagrin Blvd at I-271 next to the Hilton-Home 2 and Hotel Indigo and 5 minutes from Beachwood Place, Legacy Village and Pinecrest Shopping Center. The restaurant offers a chef-inspired menu featuring variations of its legendary aged prime steaks, daily chef’s fresh fish features and great seafood.                   A Wednesday night business dinner; place was packed; waited well past our reservation time to be seated. Very loud throughout due to crowd. Our server was good but clearly over extended so overall service suffered. However, the food was excellent.

                  Went during Restaurant Week and the place was packed. It was so noisy, we couldn’t talk to one another across a small table. Server was gracious but dropped a drink on our table and the floor, and misplaced our credit card after we had paid. The lettuce on the wedge salad was wilted and brown making it very unappealing. The server eventually found the card but overall this was just a meh experience. Quite honestly, I was expecting more, but am disappointed.

                  Overall, I had a pleasant experience. Ambiance is really nice. Wait staff was attentive. I think for what I ordered the portions were kind of small for the price. My food wasn’t as hot as I thought it should be but fine nonetheless. Still an overall good experience.

                  Disappointing. Went there for our 50th anniversary, because Giovanni's was closed. It had been many years since we had been to Hyde Park Grill. Our appetizers were exceptionally good (Lobster escargot style and Wagyu beef carpaccio), but we were asked to order our main dishes before we could even taste them, because the kitchen would be closing. I did not know that the kitchen closes at 8pm. We ordered the halibut and a filet mignon. Both were good, not great. The steak was covered in an ubiquitous sauce that left much to be desired. It was ruined by a saltshaker that poured copious amounts of salt, like a river. We mentioned that to our server, who agreed, and tried the other salt shakers on tables around us, and said the all poured really fast. She offered to scrape the sauce off the steak before boxing our leftovers. We were ready to call it a night, and the server said she had a "special" dessert for our anniversary. It was a cup filled with a cloyingly sweet "tribute to s'mores", something I would never order. I honestly expected a lot better all around, for the price we paid. I have no problem with high prices when they are merited.
