Iconic is an American restaurant located inside the DoubleTree Hotel Utica at 102 Lafayette St in Utica, NY.

The restaurant and bar were completely renovated in 2017. The inspiring 1912 architecture was retained, but the ambiance is urban contemporary. The bar serves high quality artisan cocktails and a variety of wines and beers.

Our innovative menu contains local favorites and dishes that strive to become the new local favorites! Our culinary team varies the menu to reflect the seasons and current dining trends.

We hope that you enjoy your time in our establishment!

We had a fantastic waitress and the food is amazing, but we miss the garlic bread with sauce that used to be served

Anna, thank you for taking the time to review your dining experience. We are so happy that you enjoyed your experience. We have brought the garlic bread and sauce back. The bread and sauce are served with the Utica Greens starter and the Meatballs starter. It can also be purchased as a separate starter.

This is a beautiful restaurant in an historical Utica hotel. The food is outstanding with top notch service. Our waitress, Jackie, was very attentive and friendly. I would highly recommend this place!

Waited quite a while for drinks at the bar. At first there was no bartender. After waiting almost 10 minutes, she arrived. Food was good. Server was friendly.

Hello Ken, thank you for choosing to dine at Iconic. We appreciate your business. We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed your meal. I did go back to our camera footage after reading your review and saw that you were served drinks 6 minutes after walking up to the bar. The bartender was there but had monetarily stepped away to pick up a food order in the kitchen for a bar guest. Ideally, a food runner would have done that for her, but that person was also busy elsewhere. We apologize for the wait.

The only issue was that they no longer serve bread before the meal. So it was disappointing because previously we got bread with marinara sauce for dipping.

Staff and food was wonderful for our first night as a married couple. However I am missing the Tuscan chicken from the menu. We come every year for our anniversary and was sad to see it go. Your wonderful staff was able to accommodate with something almost as good as the original. Looking forward to another night. And hope maybe that dish will return.

Missing the bread for the table!!!! Please consider bringing it back! Food was not as good as it has been in the past. Our server Erin was terrific and we always like to see Rachel! Not sure if we will dine here again, maybe just visit the bar…

We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy this meal as much as others in the past. Rachel and Erin were very surprised by your review - despite both speaking with you, they had no idea that there were issues. Had you shared that with them, the kitchen would have happily remade your dinners. We always prefer to hear about any dissatisfaction in real time so we can remedy the situation. The food overall was incredible. The burger, calamari and French onion soup were great. A little put off the water was not iced and they don't serve bread. Their version of Utica Greens with sausage was strange but decent. One of the better establishments in our area for sure.

Hello Matt, Thank you for sharing feedback on your dining experience. We appreciate your business! We have since revised our Utica Greens to include prosciutto instead of sausage. Additionally, the garlic bread and marinara sauce are served with each order of greens (and the meatballs starter). The bread and marinara sauce can also be purchased separately. A little lack luster...wait staff was courteous, attentive and charming. The french onion soup was lukewarm and topped with very hard bread. The pasta entree was delicious but also just warm. We were given a wonderful dessert to share which was the best part of the meal. Maybe it was an off night but we won't return.
