We had a reservation on 2/16 and had a disappointing experience as first time patrons.
I was the first to order from our group, and our waiter was knowledgeable great to recommend his personal favorite of the two dishes I showed interest in, and I landed on the Mushroom Huevos Rojo. The food I received was delicious! My personal experience was just fine.
However, each guest in our group to follow, was met with their preferred items being out of stock. The team attributed this to Valentine’s the day prior, and was apologetic.
Finally after we all had ordered, food and drinks, we waited some time for it all to arrive. Our food came before our drinks, which was disappointing. We had ordered Bloody Mary’s, as an appetizer and to go along side the meal. The timing did not allot us enough time to drink them in entirety, and they aren’t exactly a dessert drink!
Two from our party ordered sandwiches, specifically for the greens that came on them, and received not a single leaf. When we asked to get some, it took ages to be told they were, you guessed it, out. Extremely disappointing, considering arugula would have provided both taste and texture necessary for the dish. I’m not sure the waiter even knew what arugula was, because the best he could offer was mint, or parsley. Not even romaine, or whatever the base of their salad dish is. Finally, when she had about two bites total, they presented her with the smallest helping of arugula I have ever seen! Those last couple bites were enjoyable, and it made all the difference!
I will say, each employee was extremely kind, though offered no compensation or solution. They seemed to lack critical training, but had the demeanor to be great workers in the service industry. We would like to come back to give it another chance, but were mostly dissatisfied with this first visit.
