Il Piatto is the modern expression of the classic Italian cuisine. Enjoy a selection of antipasto, pastas, gnocchi, and more!

Our private dining package seats 35 guests or holds a reception for 50 guests. With a view of the wine cellar, our Italian restaurant is perfect for all kinds of events.

Il Piatto is open for lunch, brunch, dinner and happy hour.
*Please note, we serve brunch on holiday Mondays and the 4th of July*

    Great food and service! Everyone was very accommodating. Host gave us a very nice table at the window, on a cold and rainy night. He knew the heaters were over there. Our server was wonderful. He suggested a very good wine and brought us a little taste of it first. Our entrées were delicious and cooked to perfection. This was our second time there and it will be our last

    Pros: Nice ambiance, clean , moderate noise. Server: poorly served I saw my server at the beginning, and when she brought my check; not once she came by to refill my club soda . Food: poor Raviolis and noodles were undercooked Meatballs were phenomenal

    Food and selections were good. Restaurant is close to Capitol Hilton and made reservations for lunch on a chilly day. The patio would be fun but was too cold. Servers were very helpful, quick and plentiful. Would eat here again!

    We have been to this restaurant twice when we visited DC and have enjoyed it very much both times. The food, service and ambiance are all first-rate.

    Nice atmosphere. Good service. Not the most exciting area of the city but near the mall if you are in that area. The carbonara was very tasty. The Caesar salad sounded like it would have a nice kick but was a little bland and the dessert mousse was good but the crust needed a knife to cut through. One thing I noticed in DC is that some restaurants add a 20 percent service charge /tip onto the bill. Another restaurant was transparent about it. This one was not. If we didn’t look closely, we might not have noticed and tipped then 40 percent which is ridiculous. Be transparent and don’t expect/trick diners already paying a lot (and the US exchange rate) to supplement so much. 20 percent you add on is plenty.
