   First time dining there! Food was absolutely amazing! I’m Sicilian so know good Italian food. This was definitely a 10. Service was also outstanding. I had the stuffed gnocchi which were lthe most delicious soft, pillow pasta I’ve ever had!! I’m so happy I ordered them. The canoli was good but a little too flaky crust. I prefer a little thicker and harder but the cream filling was very traditional. I will definitely be going back there at some point. The owner, Donatella, was lovely and we discovered we are both from Modica, Sicily 🇨🇮

   Fantastic food and hospitality! The pasta dishes are made with care and are bursting with flavor. The restaurant also offers a variety of other unique Italian dishes such as their stuffed cheese bread with prosciutto and truffle oil, and pork chop milanesa. The staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu.

   My favorite Italian restaurant in OC🥰🫶🏻 Today I took my mom and nephew for dinner. My little nephew loved his pasta and my mom enjoyed every second of hers ♥️Thank you so much Donatella for such a great service. Francesco was our server he was awesome and very attentive as usual!.    First, the service was amazing. Second, the food from the garlic bread, the branzino to the pasta was top notch and beyond our expectations going in. Our new go to place for italian.

   If you haven't been to iL Barone (it has moved in where Cucina Alessa used to be) then you HAVE to go! The food is extraordinary along with great friendly service. Some restaurants push their 'specials' to move unwanted food but we go twice (or more) weekly and only out of curiosity do we ask before ordering it. Phenomenal culinary artistry from homemade pasta to sea bass their own special way. There's no scrimping on serving size or quality. If you're lucky to have Frankie as your server he will assist you in scoring a goal or 2.

    The food was delicious. I was a little disappointed in the atmosphere as the picture showed tablecloths and looked charming. We came for the first time to celebrate a birthday and try the restaurant and it has no ambience as in the picture it shows in your website. Wish I could’ve given five stars because the food was very delicious and the service was great.
