Step inside Il Fornaio and take a culinary journey through Italy. Early mornings bring rustic, crisp crusted bread hot from the oven accompanied by the scent of fresh brewed espresso. During lunch and dinner hours, pastas and flavorful sauces simmer while meats and vegetables roast over hot coals. Bottles of wine from small, regional wineries are uncorked to complement the dishes, which have been crafted in the custom of Italy’s chefs, bakers and homemakers. Il Fornaio means the Baker in Italian. This award-winning restaurant offers an authentic and unique Italian dining experience. Specialties include wood-fired rotisserie and grilled meats, poultry and game; housemade pastas; pizzas from an oak wood burning oven; fresh salads and housemade soups; a wide variety of desserts; and fresh baked bread made daily from scratch. Repeat winner of the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence.

Another great dinner at Il Fornaio. My friend and I decided to go for the DineLA event. The food was delicious (3 course dinner). We both had the salmon which was soo good along with our caesar salad. Our server Ivan was very nice too. Later, we had another server, Dan and he was super nice too. Dessert was the tiramisu---very tasty!! One of the best I've had. Definitely recommend this restaurant and cannot wait to return again! Many thanks!

Literally the sweetest staff, everyone made our table feel so welcomed and like we were the only ones in the restaurant, it was really special. I ordered the vodka pasta and my husband ordered the salmon, both were excellent! The pasta, although a staple at many Italian restaurants, was uniquely it’s own from the sauce to its garnishments. The salmon was perfectly crisp and flavorful. Loved the ambience, it was quiet but still lively.

Hadn’t been back since Covid and it’s good to see that the high quality food and good service hasn’t changed. The fusilli with roasted tomato sauce and burrata, pollo ai fungi and minestrone were as good as ever😀

The server didn’t bother coming to ask us about the food. We waited for more than 40 minutes and turned out the server forgot to bring the plates, and the food became cold.
