Il Fornaio means 'The Baker' in Italian. This award-winning restaurant offers an authentic and unique dining experience.     Calamari appetizer was a bit dry and only came with one choice of sauce, spicy,too spicy for one of our party. My drink glass had a crack in it and they offered me a second complimentary drink. All in all a good experience, as seafood entrees were excellent.

    I asked my wife to marry me at this restaurant and so it has emotional meaning to us My Gamberini dish had only 2 shrimp ( in the shell and 4 scallops and a HUGE mound of Polenta way over balanced. My wife's Genovese Salmon was delicious although and our waiter Sergio couldn't have been more accommodating

    Our favorite location is in Palo Alto. We had a delicious meal. Our small misfortunes were the kids behind my wife, having to ask for more water more than once, and the table choice - close to the kitchen and surrounded by bigger tables - was not conducive to a special date night. Still a charming and memorable experience.

    The food was absolutely horrible!My vodka penne tasted like Mac n Cheese.Our bruschetta appetizer was ice cold and was saturated with olive oil.Parking was almost impossible,Luckly we finally found something far away. FYI restroom is outside of restaurant,have to trek down 3 flights of stairs or wait forever for elevator. Service staff was excellent though

    The staff were extremely kind and accommodating for my Mother’s birthday lunch! They truly made her feel special. The food was so delicious, but the gnocchi appetizer was our favorite. Will be returning.

     the food here was very good. Problem is that Online they reference gluten-free options but the only options confirmed were gluten-free pasta. Couldn’t do the chicken or other dishes because of the sauces. Same thing happened with all of the desserts, including gelato? Waitress seemed interested in other things rather than serving us.

    The food was good, but our first server was rude and argumentative, which ruined our experience. We will not return any time soon.
