We went for Christmas Eve dinner, new place in town got rave reviews online. When you step inside you’re transported to a lounge-like atmosphere, great music playing just enough to overcome the chatter. The appetizers we got included calamari and the arancini. The calamari was tender and melted in your mouth. The arancini were very good as well, in my opinion nothing to write home about. We had pastas for dinner, the carbonara and the veal ragu. Both delicious and cooked perfectly! We also shared the arugula salad which needed a vinegar, it was just oil with walnuts, sun dried tomatoes, Kalamata olives and arugula, shaved cheese on top. Our waiter seemed like he was new to the waiting scene, forgot about us a few times and missed the boat on table care, personality, and attentiveness. At one point we asked for water and he proceeded to serve the table next to us with full glasses and walk right past us.
BYO is a huge plus, looks like they have a bar but it’s a dining area as well, no alcohol.
While they are making a name for themselves in town, they are off to a great start. A few tweaks and I feel they’ll be a staple.
