Il Posto Ristorante is located on 24th and Dune in Avalon, NJ. Executive chef and owner, Ramiro “Tony” Gonzalez, brings exceptional quality and creativity to each dish. The Vitello il Posto, the Capellini di Sardinia, and the Short Ribs are some of Chef Tony’s most popular entrees.                                                                 Overall a bit disappointed. The fish special was pretty good. My wife ordered the veal piccata and it was not good. Service was very good, but the entrees were not very good.

                                                                I ordered the veal piccata which was very good, especially w/the shitake mushrooms and superb sauce over capellini. My wife had the chicken franchaise which was also very good - light and the sauce was buttery also over capellini. A third person ordered the rib eye steak and was very disappointed. It was tough and not easy to cut. Would not suggest that for an entree. He had the roasted pepper soup as an appetizer which was very good and not too spicy. My wife and I shared the Salad Mista which had a nice combo of lettuce, peppers, mushrooms and a very good house made dressing. We always order that when we dine there. They also offer a great pesto dipping sauce for their tastey bread. A win-win.

                                                                This was the first time that my husband and I had dinner at Posto and it will not be our last. It was a delicious meal. We were very impressed and with the freshness and presentation of all the plates. Worth the drive.

                                                                Can’t believe I waited so long to try this place. Everything was fantastic. We were seated outside on the porch and it was a beautiful night. We ordered appetizers our entrées and brought our own wine. I thought we would bring some home with us but it was so good we ate it all right then. Can’t wait till next summer to come back and eat here again.
