Since I was 13 years old, I've been in the restaurant industry. I started in my grandfather’s restaurant & worked my way up to running one of the most successful restaurants in NYC - Patsy’s Italian Restaurant. My grandfather worked his way up in the restaurant industry in the 1930's and '40s and in 1942 opened his first Italian restaurant, The Sorrento. When it came time to name our new restaurant, we decided on IL Sorrento in honor of my grandfather. I know my grandparents & my mom are smiling down on us with approval. I've lived in Westchester since 1984 & have always dreamed about opening an Italian restaurant here .. now the dream is a reality. My family & I believe that having a successful restaurant is a simple formula - give people what they want: Good Food, Good Service and Good Value. At IL Sorrento, we are embracing old world charm of Southern Italy & bringing it to Westchester County. Our hope is that you will enjoy being at IL Sorrento as much as we will enjoy serving you

Our first time dining at Il Sorrento but won’t be the last. Our meals were outstanding and service was very attentive. Overall it was a very pleasant dining experience. Kudos to Il Sorrento, job well done.👏🏻👏🏻

The food was excellent. It was very crowded but our table was ready when we got there. They made a few mistakes like my husbands lobster and shrimp risotto didn’t have any lobster but they remade it and it was fabulous. They brought us the wrong dessert but quickly brought out the right dessert. The ambiance is lovely but a little loud. The servers were all friendly and knowledgeable

We really enjoyed our dinner last night. The place was hopping and the food was very good. We loved the arancini, sole, lamb shank, and tiramisu. The service was excellent. We will come back again.

We all had different entree and enjoyed them.-branzino, short ribs, rigatoni and veal. Some shared a salad, mussels and octopus. Gelatos, sorbet and cappuccino rounded out the meal. They brought one of the gelatos with a candle and sang happy birthday to my husband. Nice.

We had lunch, with both of us having lamb chops as the main course. They started us with a light, tasty Italian bread with olive oil and butter available. The bread was so tasty I didn't bother with either. They also provided a small plate of hot peppers (yum), olives and cheese. A very nice start. We asked for our lamb chops medium rare and they were cooked perfectly, with a light, delicious sauce. They came with broccoli and potatoes but neither of us wanted the potatoes so one of us got extra broccoli and the other sauteed spinach. The broccoli was very good, well cooked but not so overcooked as to lose its crisp bite. The spinach was perfect, with just the right taste of garlic. For dessert, one of us has the mousse and the other tiramisu. The mousse was smooth and had the right dark chocolate flavor that we prefer. The tiramisu was unusually light, and had that great chocolate/espresso balance. Service was very attentive. We felt very taken care of. A great lunch!

Sat us right away. Took our drink order promptly. Didn’t rush us to order after explaining the specials. Food was superb. Best part they did not rush us to leave when we finished dinner so we had time to catch up with friends. A great dining experience overall.

Food is fantastic! Not sure I will return on a weekend night, it’s too noisy. Could not talk with our friends.
