Located in the heart of the Sydney CBD on George Street – with entry via Angel Place – Indu is a light, fresh and innovative space inspired by the coastal areas of Sri Lanka and India. Perfect for groups and intimate dining alike, you’ll find the menu features plenty of quality seafood, curries brimming with fresh herbs and spices, creative takes on dosas and hoppers, and mouth-watering meats from the grill. Some of our favourite dishes include the slow-cooked Lachlan Valley lamb with fresh mint chutney and lunuiris; Abrolhos scallops and kingfish ceviche with finger lime and young coconut, and the flame-seared turmeric-cured salmon dosa with cardamom aioli and pickled fennel. Nice blend of South Asian cuisine presented in a nice atmosphere. Curries and string hoppers were absolutely perfect. Hoppers were somewhat of a disappointment as the not very crispy (More like a American style pancakes as opposed to a French Crepe). Our server was not very knowledge about the available choices. Appealing decor and decent wine list.
