Built in 1880, The Inn was at one time a brothel, until it was raided by federal officers. The Inn was a favorite site of cowboys and teamsters, who appreciated the fine foods and jovial atmosphere.
Over 100 years later, the Inn at Tres Pinos is now a San Benito County Historical Landmark, carefully restored by owner, Mike Howard. The ambiance is intimate, rustic, and elegant. It’s country with a touch of class, and decorated in a style that is a reflection of Mike’s personal interest. Mike's grandfather taught him the the art of fly-fishing, and every year the family still fishes together at the Big Wood River in Sun Valley, Idaho. Mike married Mary along the Big Wood River in 2010, and the Inn has become a true family affair. Mike’s philosophy is “Keep it fresh and keep it simple.” His staff is personally hand picked and will make every effort to meet your expectations. The Inn at Tres Pinos is the only four-star restaurant in San Benito Country.

I have to admit that the last couple of times that we dined here their service was lacking. However, last night, Lorran made sure that our experience was one to remember, from the moment that we sat down to the end of the evening. Our appetizer specials were delicious and the flank steak and swordfish specials were amazing. The drinks were great as well! We are looking forward to our end of the year dinner!! Lorran, thank you for your amazing service last night and we look forward to seeing you soon!

It was our first visit to Tres Pinos. We were celebrating my wife’s birthday. The meal, service,and ambiance was outstanding and we were seated at a nice quiet table. Everything was perfect and our waiter, Thomas was the best.

The Inn is an excellent well established restaurant in Hollister. I would it is the best place to celebrate an occasion such as birthday, anniversary. I would return.

The Inn @ Tres Pinos is an exceptional experience! The menu is outstanding, and the evening specials are always delightful options. Great atmosphere and the entire wait staff are top notch. We especially appreciate Stacie's attention to detail and cheerful demeanor!

The food was outstanding. Our server, Adrian, was great as always. he's very knowledgeable about the food and wines. He is always pot on with his suggestions!!!!
