Insalata's Restaurant is moving into it's 28th year of the community minded restaurants in San Anselmo. Insalata's receives Bib Gourmand from Michelin for it's 15th year in a row.
Our goal at Insalata's has always been to bring luscious Mediterranean food, gracious service and a warm atmosphere to our diners. For over 28 years we have shared this experience of intimate dining and joyful celebrations in a variety of ways. First and foremost as a fine dining restaurant with our beautiful private Siena room in which to sit and relax and enjoy a meal. We also offer take out dining for those days when time is of the essence, or catered affairs where we bring great food and staff into your home or venue. Our guests have become family and we have grown together in the community in which we all live and work. Everyone at Insalata's is extremely proud to be a part of this extended "village" family.

The entire restaurant is available for parties of 60 -150.

    Highly recommend Insalata's. The server was friendly, efficient and understanding of the logistics of a big table (11). We sat down to dine at 9pm because we had come from an event, and we never felt rushed, we took our time and had a great meal. Food: - The Wagyu beef was excellent, from Snake Hill Farms. As I knew where it came from I had it rare and it was just right. - The grilled chicken marinated in yoghurt was tender as always. - The pasta was great. Portions are generous.

    Delicious options and many we’ll need to come back for. Our first Insalata’s experience did not disappoint! Dave’s were the eggplant fries and that wagyu steak!!!

    Amazing food, some of the best I’ve had in San Fran. Our waiter Brian was superb and made our experience 10/10. Such a great experience!

    Food and service fantastic. Focaccia, hamachi and valentines special scallops amazing start. Then homemade pasta for our mains.. just wonderful!

    Had our Valentine's dinner one day early at Insalata! The food and service were as excellent as always. Can never go wrong spending an evening here. Service is always friendly and attentive and the drinks from the bar and food out of the kitchen were perfect. Really enjoy the egplant fries! Highly recommend!

    Good food. Lamentable service. Server was missing. We had to stand up and speak to the main desk to argue for service to place orders and, again, to receive a bill.
