International Smoke San Francisco is the wildly popular collaboration between award-winning Chef Michael Mina and renowned restaurateur, chef, 2x NY Times best-selling cookbook author, philanthropist, television host and producer, and entrepreneur Ayesha Curry. Inspired by Curry and Mina’s shared love of global travels and international cooking techniques, International Smoke ignites a new spark of flavor and creativity focused on woodfired steaks, seafood, ribs, and vegetarian entrees to create flavorful dishes that are craveable worldwide.
Celebrating food as the heart of the community, International Smoke recognizes that fire is the start of all cooking and every country shares this culinary spark.     I’ve gone 4 times. The first was so sobs but I went back. The next two were very good. I was disappointed. It was a busy week in SF with JP Morgan conference so it was crowded as everyone expected. We were seated in an overflow room which is essentially a building lobby. The server showed up after around 15 minutes and around that schedule. Very frustrating for lunch when you need to go to work. Half the food was good - corn bread,, chicken sandwich, soup . However, the beef and chicken bowls were lacking. Especially the chicken which was an overdone chicken leg which I would have never ordered if it was described as bone in chicken leg.

    They were out of several top items at our 7:15 dinner, wouldn’t substitute rice rice for potatoes-the waiter said he had to ask the chef-never returned with an answer, and dish served by another person who said they ran out of rice, or didn’t make it that day-although it’s on the menu. Salmon dishes came out lukewarm, it took 20 minutes to get our drink order, there was a party going on in the bar area with screaming and crazy loud noise, and the restrooms were dirty and out of TP in ladies room. Very disappointing and would not return or recommend-way over priced for such a poor experience. Also, the Mai Tai drink in the SPAM can that is highlighted on the website is no longer available-false advertising. Very disappointed!

    Fantastic!! The humus, short rib and brussel sprouts were delicious. Friendly attentive service made it perfect. Immediately booked another reservation.

    20% autograt on holiday buffet with cold meats, just ok food. With drinks, we paid over $400 for 2 people. Very overpriced.

    International Smoke house is always a great experience! The food is consistently delicious. The hostess that greeted us was super nice, and we decided to sit at the bar before our dinner, but we ended up staying at the bar and enjoying cocktails and bar bites. It was overall a wonderful experience.

    In six years this restaurant has somehow gone from just below Michelin-star quality to a Red-Robin version of its former self. Obviously Covid was hard on all of us, but Int’l Smoke is no longer for us. We’d never have recognized it if it weren’t for the wooden wall.
