Irati is located in the heart of Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter, just off Las Ramblas, near the Liceu Opera House and a few metres from the Boqueria Market. Irati is a space for more intimate gatherings where you can enjoy the best Basque cuisine in the classic pintxos bar or at the table. This was our first time, the server was extremely helpful in picking out our dinner selections both on the menu and off. All of the staff took interest in making sure that we were satisfied.

Amazing place, my best food experience in Barcelona, went there twice during my stay. Taverna is divided in two parts one is restaurant and one is pintxos bar. Restaurant offers homemade catalunya style food served all with top notch bread. pintxos bar offers large selection of toothpick appetizers. Everything tastes amazing ❤️

Our server was amazing. She had lived in the US for a while as a child, so her command of English language was excellent and helpful to us. We shared a salad which was fresh & crisp, and my husband had a very tasty beef dish & I had pork ribs...all tasty & delicious.

Sunday eve @ 2030, sat at the bar near the back and it was the perfect seat busy and noise wise. The service was so so good, just genuinely lovely people really happy to help which was a surprise having done a week or fairly grumpy people in restaurants! Wait for the burgers to come in the pintos - unreaaaal!! House red is also fab. Thanks guys. Lovely eve.

Really enjoyed this place. It’s standing room only at the entrance section, with some stools available. The idea is to walk in, grab a small bite and go. They charge based on the number of cocktail sticks left on your plate. It’s casual, fun and the food is traditional Basque style and very tasty. There is a more formal restaurant at the back, but we were happy with the front section as it was mid-afternoon.

Excellent food and the service was outstanding. Andrea our waitress looked after us so well, we both commented on what a brilliant waitress she is! To the owners of this restaurant you should be proud of your team!

The restaurant was lovely and the food very good but we wished there had been more explanation and description actually on the menu. The menu looked very simple but you didn't really know what you were getting ingredients wise or in portion size. We had to ask loads of questions and it makes you feel like a bit of a nuisance! Also you couldn't have tapas in the restaurant - only in the bar - which we didn't know from prior research and was bit disappointing.

We thought we would have a late lunch but the kitchen was closed. Instead we had the tapas, which were terrific! My favorite was the foie gras. Everyone was helpful and friendly to the Americanos. Very positive experience. Highly recommend.
