JaBistro is a Japanese restaurant that is located in downtown Toronto, mere blocks away from Roy Thompson Hall and Nathan Phillips Square. The modern and sleek restaurant offers indoor as well as outdoor seating in the late spring and summer months. JaBistro is a contemporary space that is decorated with brick accent walls, booth style seating, sophisticated dim lighting and an oversized bar.

From January 9 to 11, celebrate JaBistro's 12th Anniversary with the exclusive 12th Anniversary Tasting Menu for $111. Enjoy a luxurious Lobster Miso Soup, a Premium Sashimi Platter (chef’s selection of 12 pieces), Aburi Sushi (pressed salmon, ebi, and the signature Jabistroll), and a Premium Nigiri Selection (maguro, uni, wagyu with foie gras, seasonal fish, and a handroll). Conclude with a refreshing Yuzu Sorbet paired with sake jelly. Plus, enjoy 30% off sparkling wine and champagne bottles throughout the celebration. On January 11 only, on top of that, savour the 12th Anniversary Lobster Sashimi Platter, a separate and exclusive dish highlighting lobster sashimi, also available for $111.

Overall, this was a good experience. My favourite item on the menu was the “Ebi Oshizushi” aburi, it was unique and very tasty. We tried all the others and found them to be ok. Although the aburi’s come with soy sauce already on them, it would have been nice to also have soy sauce, ginger and wasabi offered on the side. We did ask our server for it and she brought it over to the table, so that was nice. Would have loved try the panna cotta but unfortunately the next table was waiting to be seated. I would recommend increasing their maximum reservation duration from 1.5 hours to 2 hours.

Staple sushi spot that has a great aburi selection as well as great ambiance. Regularly frequent this restaurant and am always happy with the quality and service.

I really love JaBistro’s menu and their ability to pace the tasting menu and allow me and my partner to enjoy dinner and conversation for our anniversary. They really know how to take care of people here. I would love to come back to Toronto just to get to try the sushi counter experience.

We got the lunch tasting menu for $88 and it did not disappoint. The fish was super fresh and it was good value. The presentation was also immaculate. The staff is super attentive and always came by to check in on us. We went for a birthday and they came by with a Polaroid and helped us take a souvenir photo. Overall, it was a very good and memorable experience!
