Founded by Sophia Akbar and Paul Iglesias. It marks their debut Afghan concept and is a celebration of the rich flavors and traditions of Afghan culture, reimagined for today’s world. The restaurant is a tribute to Akbar’s ancestral Pashtun tribe and her grandfather’s last name, honoring the resilience and stories of Afghan-American heritage.

                                  Gorgeous interior, great staff, delicious food. Smaller portions for the price though. I definitely don’t expect huge portions like you would get at a regular casual restaurant. But definitely still feeling hungry after a $200 bill.

                                  Lovely dinner here last night. I like the decor and ambiance, Also really appreciated that they had tables for specifically parties of 3. The cocktails were well balanced and reasonably priced. We had the perfect amount of food for the 3 of us, 3 small bites an order of kabobs and 1 bit bite (the lamb shank) The small bite croquettes were the favorite of the table and the saffron ice cream for dessert was splendid.
