Michelin-starred Jamavar London, located on Mayfair’s iconic Mount Street is celebrated for its gracious hospitality, inviting atmosphere, and beautiful surroundings inspired by the Viceroy’s House in New Delhi, the acclaimed restaurant is a rendition of a palatial Indian dining experience in the heart of Mayfair.

Here, exceptional pan-Indian dishes are thoughtfully prepared by Culinary Director and Executive Chef Surender Mohan using the freshest British produce and most authentic Indian cooking techniques. In 2022, Jamavar London was awarded a Michelin star in The Great Britain & Ireland Michelin Guide for its high-quality cooking and holistic approach to Indian cuisine.

Although the food was qualitative, the place is very narrow and not comfortable with inadequate square tables in the middle of a tiny room, the air conditioning did not really work, this is not the place for people with claustrophobia. No to little information about the menu Not a place for people inexperienced with Indian gastronomy, the staff was not trained for this kind of service. The restaurant does not deserve a 1 star Michelin. In conclusion, this was disappointing, and I definitely will not come back.

Terrible. Very loud and very small to next table and service. No one was interested to take away coat and later to clean the table. But the worst thing was the noise, very loud Techno music, in a restaurant like this. It was a joke, but not a good one. Food was just normal, not bad, nothing very good or special. Expensive. And for sure: no star ! Sorry.

Even if you do advance booking,they will seat you in basement, which is stuffy, only 1 person is their to take order, clear plates And serves, so you can imagine service Quality. My wife and myself ordered 5 small servings, 2 - veg & 3 - non veg , they served All 5 servings at a time, this service from Mechellin Star Restaurant. Food was just plain food served in any Normal restaurant. This restaurant is just normal walk in place For Londoner's, not a Fine Dinning place.

Fantastic food and very good service - the tasting menu was a great mix. All dishes were delicious with favorites of the bass and the lamb

Cannot believe that this place has a Michelin star! Service was average to poor. The restaurant is NOISY! What’s with the disco music that makes everyone shout to make themselves heard? Food was ok but nothing specials So disappointed. Will never return.

Find it ridiculous that they charge service and Cover Charge. 5% service is for staff and the cover charge is for the restaurant.....how can they charge for doing the one thing they are in business for?? Ridiculous.

Disappointing and Overpriced Experience I had high expectations for Jamavar, but unfortunately, it fell far short. The restaurant is way too expensive for what it offers. The ambiance was too noisy, making it hard to enjoy the meal. As for the food, it was very standard—nothing special or memorable, certainly nothing that felt Michelin-worthy. Overall, a huge disappointment. Definitely not worth the hype, and I won’t be returning.

Two weeks ago, my girlfriend and I had an exceptional, mind-blowing experience at Jamavar Doha. The food, service, and ambiance were outstanding, so much so that we canceled our original dinner plans for a special occasion and decided to celebrate our anniversary lunch at Jamavar London, expecting the same level of excellence. There’s no doubt—the food was amazing, especially the biryani and cocktails. However, the service was absolutely disappointing and disgraceful. •Poor Welcome: The host was rude, offering no smile, warmth, or proper greeting upon arrival. •Disruptive Guest Ignored: A diner was on a loud video call, disrupting the atmosphere, yet the staff chose to ignore it, likely because he was a regular this, at first, didn’t bother me much. •Service Delays: We ordered garlic naan and waited 15 minutes, only for our food to get cold but the naan never arrived. •Unequal Treatment: Every other table was served pappadams and chutney, but we never received any which we could still overlook. •Biased Attention: What truly frustrated and hurt us was the stark difference in attention. The same guest on the video call received personal service three times from the restaurant in-charge, while we were completely ignored. This level of service is unacceptable and disgraceful for a restaurant of this caliber. At the end, they offered a complimentary dessert, which we declined. Without us asking, they removed the drinks and service charge an unspoken apology, but the experience had already been ruined. The difference between Jamavar Doha and Jamavar London is massive. ✅ Jamavar Doha – Highly Recommended ❌ Jamavar London – Not Worth It

The food was great and we were taken really good care of during the whole service. My only point of frustration was with my table not being ready at the time I had made my reservation for. I had booked a table for six adults and we were directed to a table of four. We were informed that the table next to us (a table for two) was running over their allotted time. While I had gone downstairs to the washroom, I realised that there were tables downstairs and the manager could have been proactive about the situation and offered to seat us downstairs (which is what I had suggested to the manager and then moved to) than to wait upstairs for the table which was running over their time.

We've discovered this place a few years ago and went there for our anniversary. We've been coming here ever since to celebrate special occasions. The food is delicious, the service is incredible (very attentive), and the desserts are to die for. We'll come back many more times
