Michelin-starred Jamavar London, located on Mayfair’s iconic Mount Street is celebrated for its gracious hospitality, inviting atmosphere, and beautiful surroundings inspired by the Viceroy’s House in New Delhi, the acclaimed restaurant is a rendition of a palatial Indian dining experience in the heart of Mayfair.

Here, exceptional pan-Indian dishes are thoughtfully prepared by Culinary Director and Executive Chef Surender Mohan using the freshest British produce and most authentic Indian cooking techniques. In 2022, Jamavar London was awarded a Michelin star in The Great Britain & Ireland Michelin Guide for its high-quality cooking and holistic approach to Indian cuisine.

Food is basic and place is overhyped.Bombay bustle is better .Dessert was very good but rest all is ok

The front door wouldn’t close itself between customers so we were freezing most of the time.We told them and all they said was that they had a doorman but he was ill.We were paying customers still freezing. The individual dishes were well overpriced and only received half of a nan bread ordered. Jamavar reputation was better than it actually was.

Our experience was quite stressful. We were a party of four adults, ordering cocktails, starters, mains, desserts, wine, and champagne, yet we felt rushed throughout the meal. Hosting guests at what is supposed to be a Michelin-starred restaurant, I was embarrassed by the lack of consideration for a relaxed dining experience. This level of service was disappointing and fell short of the expectations one has for a restaurant of this caliber

Lovely and attentive staff. Aloo tikki and Jackfruit starters were amazing. Mains and desserts were good. Nice restaurant for a date or meeting friends to talk!

Very disappointed booked this for my wife’s birthday and thought that having a Michelin star the food would be nice, how wrong was I it was average at best and very overpriced

The environment felt purely Indian vibes which is fantastic. The food was delicious and tasty. Leno served us and she was super friendly, kind, and professional at her work. Highly recommend

I had high expectations for Jamavar, given its Michelin star status, but unfortunately, the experience fell short. The food was, at best, average – lacking the wow factor one would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. The service, sadly, was below par. Staff appeared inattentive, and the overall atmosphere was chaotic, with the restaurant being excessively noisy, making it hard to enjoy the meal or hold a conversation. To top it off, the cloakroom lost my gloves. What was most disappointing was the staff’s indifferent attitude toward resolving the issue – no sense of urgency or accountability. For a restaurant with such acclaim, I expected a refined and seamless experience, but this visit was far from that. There are better options in London for both food and service at this price point.
