    Coat racks unstable falling onto floors all around us. Sandwich should be larger rather than having small portions with huge amounts of sweet potato fries.

    What a striking building for a restaurant! The decor felt warm and comfortable and was fascinating with tidbits of information about the pumphouse included in the menu. We ordered the Dan Dan noodles and the glazed salmon. The dishes were elegant, delicious, and memorable. Our server was very personable, with impeccable timing of when to check in on us. It really was a magnificent experience. We are definitely going to return!

    Great restaurant! Food was delicious. Our server was fantastic with his suggestions. The dessert was spot on! Loved the old architecture of the building. It was a little bit loud for us but it was Friday night. They also had separate menus for gluten free/vegan options so that was appreciated. Will definitely be going back!

    A unique dining experience surrounded by the mechanical apparatus of over a century ago. The special ambience and eclectic menu makes for a special outing. Our meals were delicious, portions were large and the service friendly and attentive. We truly enjoyed.

    Everything the waitress suggested was delicious. Food was hot and drinks were delicious. The historic setting is very unique.

    This is my first visit to the James Avenue Pumphouse. We made a reservation 2 months in advance since they are always booked. We went before our play at MTC. It is really nice in there, lots of windows and I loved the ambiance at night. I had the schnitzel chicken sandwich and my friend at the burger, we both enjoyed our meals. My only complaint was that does or a side was al a carte, just had 4.00 to the meal and provide a side. It was also quite loud in there but they had some bigger tables and that happens. Would definitely go back, maybe in the summer to eat outside. Seeing the old pumphouse is so cool.
