Open since 1973, Janko's Little Zagreb has become one of Bloomington's finest dining traditions as one of the best steakhouses in the Midwest. Perfect for large groups as well as small intimate celebrations, Janko's has been providing exceptional food and service in a casual, family friendly atmosphere for more than 40 years!

Come enjoy our famous spicy meatballs or one of our USDA Choice steaks, hand cut daily and grilled to perfection. We also have delicious seafood entrees as well as vegetarian options available.

Find the perfect wine pairing for your meal from Janko's extensive bottled wine list. We have over 100 wines by the bottle and more than a dozen house wines by the glass to choose from.

Back in town for the IU Nutcracker. I had such a great meal at Janko’s the last time, I booked again. I ordered the Super Filet “Pittsburgh rare” for a second time. Perfectly cooked. If you love steak and wine, it doesn’t get any better.

Can't beat Janko's for the steaks, the salad is sparse, the ambience is rough, you go there for the food. Wait Staff always pleasant and attentive. Noisy, it is an IU spot for athletes, coaches, visiting teams, etc.

The food and service were excellent. Although the restaurant was busy, our server was attentive and the steaks/chops were cooked to perfection! Kudos to the GM for selecting Prisoner as the by-the-glass wine offering. I have been eating here for over 30 years and have never been disappointed.

It is with a heavy heart of decades as a customer, I think last Saturday night was my last visit to Zagrebs... First off, don't bother making a reservation, the last three times I have visited, I've waited 20-45 minutes past my reservation time to be seated. There is zero waiting area, so our moms celebrating their 78th and 85th birthdays had to stand whilst waiting. Then, we had to watch the hostess' hair dangle over the salad tub. We were seated next to a table of rowdy, drunk men who used VERY colorful language (not Zagreb's fault, I know, but it was unsettling to say the least). Food was good, as usual, and our server was great, but for fine dining options in Bloomington, there are other options that are more respectful of their clientele.
