    We weren’t sure we wanted to try Japón after reading several not so good reviews on Google. We are so happy that we did. Literally everything was a hit. Got there an hour early so we could have a drink at the bar in the courtyard and the ambiance and service was great, and so were the drinks. We sat at a table outside in the courtyard and had a great view of the show which started about an hour after we were seated. The sashimi and the rolls were fresh and very good quality fish/seafood. All I can say about the negative reviews is always consider the source. If you’re not willing to spend good money for amazing service and food, then go elsewhere. When you know, you know, and if you don’t know, don’t worry!

    Appetizers were decent. Maki was barely edible and the service was terrible. This restaurant wouldn’t last a week in NYC. Overpriced and just an unpleasant experience. Hard to believe the Setai tolerates this level of ineptitude

    Our first experience at Japón at the week it opened was amazing. We returned and brought 2 friends. This time, we were there for 3 hours. Our server came to our table twice in the entire time. We waiting 30 min after sitting and still no server came to our table. We had to ask for a server to come. Then trying to diffuse the awareness of having waited so long we make a comment to the server about how busy the restaurant is and he said no it’s actually not busy.
