We booked a table and had to wait 30 minutes for the table. Front desk staff were not helpful until the Manager got involved. Once we sat down the evening was great.

The food was good, however, there was a long line to check in we waited like half an hour to check in and another to be called. Also, the people who’re taking the check in were rude and not professional at all. The music was a little loud so it’s hard to hear the other person. This is not my first time being there but it’s my first time complaining.

Always a show stopper and delicious, but had to wait 30 minutes for our table beyond our reserved time. A round of drinks on the house would have been a nice gesture or an order of guac for the table. As a previous owner of two successful restaurants, this level of service is sadly lacking today that desperately needs to be returned especially at today’s prices.

This was my third trip to Javier’s and the food never disappoints. Ordinarily, service is more attentive but it was Valentine’s Day and the place was packed. Table service was slower than normal but not bad. Javier’s has delicious, accessible foods with generous portions. That said, it is not a place for folks watching their budget. Seafood dishes are delicious. The shrimp empanadas have a light crisp and flavorful shell that is packed with shrimp. The osso bucco is spicy and flavorful and nearly fork tender. In my opinion it needs more than 2 or 3 tiny potatoes to accompany it. Maybe a veg? If you go, the tamarind margaritas are delicious and the guava cheesecake is the best thing on the menu.

The server was rude and short. Everything took a long time to come out. We weren’t checked on after our food came and it took 20 mins to get a to go box and the bill. And when we had called earlier for a change in our reservation we were told they were all booked up. We asked for a change from 1 to 1:30. We were incredibly surprised to see that half the restaurant was empty and not fully booked like we were told.

The venue was beautiful and the servers were nice enough. The food was fine but nothing remarkable. I went with two others and we were celebrating her Bachelorette. I wrote it on the reservation notes but nothing was done to make her night special. I'm a bit disappointed in that and the food.
