We had a reservation for 7:45 but had to remind the hostess we were still waiting at least 4-5 times, even as the staff stood around wiping down menus. Despite more than half the tables in the dining room to the left of the bar being empty, we weren’t seated until almost 8:20. Our waiter started off attentive but gradually became less so throughout the meal. We had to wait multiple times for water refills. When I asked if they could make a Mexican martini, the waiter said yes—but it took 20 minutes to arrive. It was clear they didn’t know how to make it properly, as it tasted nothing like a Mexican martini. I asked for salt on the rim, but they used Tajín instead, and the waiter mentioned they had run out of olives earlier in the day, so the drink wasn’t garnished as it should have been. We also ordered guacamole as an appetizer, and at one point, the waiter came to ask if it had been brought to our table—something that should have been obvious if they were paying attention. This lack of attention to detail was frustrating and gave the impression that the staff weren’t coordinated. Details like this, in my opinion, reflect on the management. It doesn’t seem like Javi’s leadership is setting high standards. After we paid, we were celebrating a birthday with cake, but the waiter never returned to check if we needed anything else. Instead, he sat at an empty table in the corner with another employee, seemingly waiting for us to leave. This was my first visit to Javi’s. While I’m willing to give it another chance, my expectations will be low unless I see improvement in both service and management.

Found this on Yelp driving home from Dallas. The food and service were amazing. Would definitely recommend. Wish I lived closer I’d be here weekly

Food was delicious. The restaurant itself is amazing. Family friendly. Overall it’s a place definitely worth going back.

Our server was Amber and she did a tremendous job with 9 people… The restaurant was a little loud however but it was great!

It was our first time at Javi’s, as we traveled into Tyler for a graduation. The atmosphere was great, our table for 6 was perfect, our waitress was fantastic, and the food and drinks were great! If we are ever back in Tyler, we will definitely swing by Javi’s again!

The food and service were excellent. It is noisy, but not excessively so. We live in New Orleans and make it a priority to hit Javi's when we are in Tyler.

The service was fantastic! Jessica went above and beyond, but the others who worked there also went out of their way to make you feel welcome. The ambience was also very warm and inviting. The food was just ok. The chips were warm but had a little oily after taste, and the salsas lacked that punch. We would definitely come back just for the service. We felt very special and they did a great job with that!

My favorite restaurant in Tyler area. Been there before and will return. Very good food, terrific service service and ambiance, and unbelievably value priced.
