An intimate & informal space, with a DJ booth & bespoke sound-system: Jazu is a Hi-Fi Cocktail bar that offers serious drinks and music.

In the kitchen, we run a rotation of pop-ups – with February being host to a month-long residency by GrillBird. A menu of yakitori & small plates, chefs Ben and Scott (previously of The Quality Chop House) adopt a no-waste ethos, using every part of the bird – which are sourced from Fosse Meadows Farm.

There's Homemade Shokupan - a light and fluffy Japanese milk bread - served with Miso Butter; crunchy-coated Karaage chicken with hot maple syrup; and skewers that include Chicken Liver w/ Black Vinegar Caramel, and the Tsukune w/ tangy Gochujang & Cured Egg. For something sweet, there's Mitarashi Dango; traditional Japanese rice dumplings licked with a sweet soy glaze, served on a skewer with a sprinkling of peanuts and whipped cream.

Previous residents include Lá Lôt; Duda Diner; Wavey Bar Hastings.

                              Excellent space, the cocktails were delicious, and the service was so thoughtful. Me and my partner had a wonderful time listening to the ambient songs and chatting over delicious concoctions, a really beautiful way for us to spend valentine's. Although we didn't try and food, I definitely got food envy! Will come back for the food and more delicious vibes.

                              Lovely bar; great music and a wide array of drinks to choose from. Even the non alcoholic drinks were lovely. Bit crowded, but they do with their space what they’re able to; small price to pay for good ambiance and great music.

                              This is a great place. The food residency has been first class every time I’ve been. Drinks are made and chosen with real care. Service is great and really welcoming. Music and atmosphere feels like a proper night out. It’s all done with care and love and it shows

                              Jazu has such a great vibe and all of the staff are very friendly :) We went for the wavey bar kitchen pop up and the food was phenomenal!! Every dish we ordered was delicious! 10/10 would definitely come back

                              Food was unreal and cocktails were unique. Live DJ was a nice touch as well. Didn’t give 5 stars because the restaurant was overcrowded and staff took a while to notice us. Perhaps it wasn’t table service - but that never was made clear to us, and the bill was brought to the table when we asked for it. The seating layout was awkward too, we were wedged in between two longer tables diagonally.

                              Amazing sound system. The night we visited they were doing tacos which were super tasty. They have good DJs on too but the sound system means the music is always at the perfect level.
