Jazzy’s Cabaret is New Haven’s Premier Supper Club & Lounge Experience. Our 6,000 Sq. Ft venue features 3 private dining areas including our lush VIP Garden Room. Home to Executive Chef Stephen J. When I arrived, the restaurant was empty but for 3 staff members at the bar. The one behind the bar said they were closed and would open “later on, around 8”. So I left and went to another restaurant. This was disappointing because I’ve always had a good experience when I came to Jazzys in the past. I wish they would have communicated more efficiently.

The ambiance and establishment decor is very nice. The staff was friendly and inviting, however the food selection was limited and quantity on a plate was not filling compared to the pricing. Overall it’s a mature environment and probably will attend for another show in the future but will eat before arrival.

found this location on TikTok multiple people stated they needed to book a reservation so we did made it to the location by nine there was no one to greet us at the front desk or entrance. went to the bar area there was no don julio no patron no 1738, on the website states kitchen is open until 10 PM or 10:30 we only could choose from beef empanadas Which we are pescatarians and Caesar salad mind you there was about 15 people maximum the music was blah but the bartenders were very professional and nice we definitely will not be returning this was a waste of my night your own staff stated with disgust they need a new chef but we sat watching others enjoy entrees but we were told food was scarce!!!!!!!!

Go here for the pics and the ambiance. Food was seasonless, cold, not good at all! Drinks top notch! Waiter AMAZING! I’ll never go back. I love black business , but it was discouraging that it wasn’t what I hoped for! The band wasn’t good, but were entertaining, great personalities! Fun and interactive!

When my boyfriend and I arrived, we were told that the kitchen was closed. I’d been here before and liked it so wanted to come back and was disappointed. I’m also pregnant so this was not the news I was expecting. Not sure if I will return.

The food took awhile but it was excellent. Got to experience three different events in one night! The ambiance is amazing. Would love it to be closer to my home though!!!

We arrived at the designated time and found the restaurant to be closed. Therefore we were not able to experience this reservation. We did not get called about a cancellation or a closure of the restaurant.

Lovely ambiance! Beautiful restaurant eclectic and Black centered. Went for a live performance, band and singer were excellent. HOWEVER the food was horrible. The chef needs to be fired. The appetizer of jerk chicken patties was inedible. The entree of fried chicken, collard greens and mac and cheese was disappointing to say the least. That is the trinity and if you can’t make that there’s no hope. The drinks were good so I will return for the show and drinks ONLY. Its sad that its so difficult to find a restaurant w/ a good ambiance, good service, good food and good drinks; its usually one or the other. Do better Jazzy’s

I will start with the positives first. The ambiance is very. Creatively decorated with the smooth jazz playing in the background. However, it all went downhill when we were seated. It took over 30 minutes to receive our drinks when the table behind us was seated after us. We had to ask our waiter, plus another waiter when the drinks would be ready. It took another 15 minutes for the bartender to bring them to us. The waiter told us, due to the wait, the drinks would be discounted. My husband first ordered the Wyclef and we were told they did not have griot available. He then ordered the Marley and asked Haitian pikliz on the side and was told did they did have any available. 0/2 failed attempts to order what he wanted. I ordered the rasta pasta and when it was delivered the pasta was overcooked and there was barely any of the cream sauce. The cabbage ordered as the side was decent, but the not the flavor I've tasted in the past. Finally, we were ready to leave. 40 mins had passed before our waiter came back to the table to check on us, so again we had to ask the host (who was acting as a waiter) for the check. Between waiting for the check, the check being corrected TWICE because the drinks were not discounted as previously told and an additional side being added to the bill, it was another 25 mins before leaving the restaurant. Needless to say, what should have been a relaxed date night with my husband, turned into a chaotic mess. We will not be returning.
