OpenTable美食編輯： All the Jean-Georges Vongerichten signatures that made the global celebrity chef famous, from egg toast with caviar to yellowfin tuna noodles in ginger dressing, are present in the six-course tasting at this fine-dining Philly outpost in the Four Seasons. But there are also local takes on dishes using seasonal ingredients from the Rittenhouse Farmers Market nearby Lancaster Farms Company. It all makes for a high-end experience unique to the city.

    Jean-Georges Philadelphia invites guests to enjoy our tasting menu experience: • 6-course menu available for $228 per person • We will customize your menu with your reservation name and the date of the reservation. • Please specify any dietary restrictions or aversions so we can customize your tasting experience. Please note, full table participation is required for either menu. This is required to preserve the dining experience for all our guest. With a focus on quality and sustainability, seasonal ingredients native to the Philadelphia region will be prepared with classic French techniques, while calling on global influences and sourcing the freshest foraged vegetables, meats, and seafood from around the world.

    Granted, we arrived at 9:15 for our 9pm reservation but we didn’t need a spectacle to be made. They threw a fit about whether they still had a table available. They proceeded to give us the best table (that we reserved) but then suddenly the kitchen was closing soon… but the pastry chef stays all night so no prob with desserts. We just weren’t treated with respect. A very cold atmosphere. Yes, you have great views but I won’t be returning after such cold treatment. My friend thought he wanted to stay at the four seasons next time he comes here but quickly changed his mind after the treatment we received.

    Food and service were next level. Nothing bad to say. Pricey but you should expect that going into the experience. Worth the money.

    We waited for 25 mins to get our drink order. We understand bc there was one bartender. Tables were available but we were not allowed to sit. Service was not as before

    The ambiance here is the best in the city. There’s nothing the compares to it. That being said, I’ve eaten here several times now, and I can tell you that the size of the main entrees are about the same as the appetizers, and the presentation and taste of them doesn’t warrant their high price. I’d honestly consider just ordering a bunch of appetizers with no entrees at all here. They were the best part of my meal anyway. The crab dumplings are amazing and so are the tuna noodles 👍 Also, maybe this was a one-off, and she didn’t mean to do it, but my server stood right next to me staring at the screen when I have leaving her a tip. I didn’t tip as much as I normally do (22-25 percent) because of it.

As for the tip machine, we are coaching the servers to try and make the interaction less awkward. The new regulations call for Pay at table devices and the server has to witness the actions. It is not very service friendly in the results. We apologize about this. Salute!
