   Brittany and Grant were great with our service tonight. We came out for my birthday and everything they suggested was spot on. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the ambiance. People watching through the night, the servers in JR are some of the best I’ve ever seen. I watched them take pictures for some of the guests to mark their celebrations, ask questions and respond with intention. I will always recommend this restaurant.

   We are repeat patrons to Jeff Ruby’s. I had made our reservation to enjoy the surf and turf special dinner and I have to say it was just delicious. The steak was exceptionally juicy and tender. Warm butter was presented with the lobster. The salad and sides were of perfect proportions. Sour dough bread and seasoned butter always a treat. Live piano made such a nice backgroundI also want to complement the attentive staff. Table service was excellent. I will be telling my friends about the great dinner we had. Still my favorite steak house and over all restaurant anywhere!

   Outstanding experience! From the minute we walked in to the minute we left we were treated with first class service. The atmosphere was fantastic and lovely, music was great, and of course the food was top notch. This was my first time back to Jeff Ruby’s since a not so great experience at the Nashville location. I appreciate the staff in Nashville listening to my feedback and hopefully making some changes. I wish all locations were like the Louisville location! See you soon!

   From beginning to end, this was a truly exceptional dining experience. The food was wonderful, the mocktails beautiful, and the service (especially our waiter, Darryl) was outstanding. My family and I would like to thank the staff of Jeff Ruby's for an incredible evening.

   Found ourselves making a trip to Kentucky. As we had not planned this far enough ahead we ended up getting a later reservation (830pm) on a Thursday. We still decided to get there a bit early in hopes of getting a drink at the bar before dinner. Surprisingly we were able to park close, but they did have valet parking if we needed it. Despite the congestion near the entrance we were able to move around the chaos outside and make our way up the stairs and inside. Upon our arrival we were warmly met by two well dressed and professional hosts. As we checked in we saw there was room at the bar so we mentioned as we were early we would head to the bar. We were assured they would let us know when our table was ready. The dinning area in the bar was mostly full as were the main dinning rooms. We found a spot at the bar. The 3 bartenders moved quickly and efficiently while a musician played and sang on the red piano above the back bar. Brenda had a Lavender and lemon 🍋 martini while I enjoyed a Maker's Mark Manhattan. Just as we ordered a second rounded we informed our table was ready. Here is the first of negative. I had mentioned we were celebrating a birthday and to their credit they did have a nice looking half round booth set aside for us. Unfortunately the table was attached to the floor and as I am a bigger guy it was difficult to get in place and seating was snug. That aside our waitress was very professional friendly and attentive. The steaks we ordered were perfectly cooked and side of mac and cheese that was suggested was excellent. My second negative came after dinner, while the thought was appreciated the complimentary birthday dessert was a type of small cookie/cake with sprinkles and a candle. I guess I expected a bit better from such a nice establishment we ended up ordering a piece of carrot cake which we highly recommend. Overall a great place and we look forward to visiting again.

    Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse is phenomenal! If you’re debating where to dine, look no further—this is the spot. It’s probably best to skip the sweats and dress a bit nicer. Our waiter, Matthew, was brimming with personality and ensured we had a five-star experience. Our table enjoyed the petite filet, cooked to perfection and so tender it could be cut with a fork, and the salmon, which was just as delicious. They offer a dedicated gluten-free menu, including gluten-free bread, and the staff is fantastic at tailoring side dishes to your taste. Highly recommend!
