The first & only steakhouse of its kind in the Louisville area, Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse serves only dry-aged USDA prime beef. While steak is the foundation of the menu, Jeff Ruby's promises to please seafood lovers as well with its raw/sushi bar & seafood entrees.
Jeff Ruby regulars will be pleased to know that their favorite signature items from the Cincinnati restaurants will be well represented in Louisville. The bone-in filet, the 7 cheese baked macaroni, creamed spinach, truffle flake, & of course Jeff Ruby's secret recipe cheesecake are all staples of the Louisville menu.
Styled after the great NY steakhouses of the 1930s & '40s, Jeff Ruby's promises to be as pleasing visually as it is to the palate. French art-deco design, plush mohair upholstery, hand-selected antique furniture, and cinematic crystal chandeliers anchored by a 1950s-era antique are featured in the Starz series Magic City and the 32-foot wall of wine.

The food was excellent and the service was outstanding! The only issue was we were celebrating our wedding anniversary and were seated at a square table in the open party room. Normally we always have a booth, so it just wasn’t as comfortable or romantic given the celebration.

Jeff Ruby's was the perfect choice for my special birthday dinner! The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who went above and beyond to ensure our experience was memorable. The ambiance was elegant, setting the stage for a delightful evening. The food was nothing short of spectacular. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor, showcasing the chef's attention to detail. From the appetizers to the main courses, everything was cooked to perfection and left us wanting more. To top off the night, we indulged in the Jordan Shoe Chocolate cake, which was a showstopper! Not only was it visually impressive, but its rich chocolate flavor made it the perfect sweet ending to our celebration. Overall, our experience at Jeff Ruby's was exceptional, making my birthday dinner truly unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone looking to celebrate in style!

Delicious food and a beautiful ambience. Everything that we ate was seasoned to perfection and made perfectly from the sushi to the steak to the salmon. I would definitely go back. It’s worth any penny you spend. The drinks are also delicious. Everything was delicious around the board, the server was the nicest server I’ve ever had. He was very attentive to make sure that we had everything we needed. if you go to Jeff Ruby‘s downtown Louisville ask for Jonathan!!

The Ruby roll was amazing and recommended by our waiter Matthew. Zoey always made sure we had what we needed throughout the night. Both waiters were excellent throughout the night. The filet was cooked to perfection at medium rare and one of the best steaks I've had.
