Jeffrey's Restaurant & Bar has been an Austin fine dining institution since 1975. In 2012 the restaurant closed for a major renovation and was reopened by McGuire Moorman Lambert Hospitality. The legendary restaurant, nestled in the Clarksville neighborhood just west of downtown, features a lively bar and three distinct dining rooms. The menus, from executive chef Mark McCain, features dry-aged prime steaks, updated classic fine dining, and locally sourced produce. The award-winning wine list, one of the largest and most diverse in Texas, features highly-sought after vintages from Old and New World producers. Private dining in the Napoleon Room and The Apartment is available for special events. Valet service is offered.

The charming neighborhood location, old world service & multiple private dining options make Jeffrey's a true Austin gem. Jeffrey's was named “Top 10 Best New Restaurants” in the country by Bon Appetit magazine in 2013.

What a terrific fine dining establishment, the servers were astoundingly professional and friendly. Our server gave us great recommendations and prevented us from over-ordering. We especially loved the popovers, a New York strip, the snapper and the Dover sole. And the baked Alaska was stunning. From the moment you arrive at Jeffrey’s, you see the sense of professionalism at every step of the way. One of Austin‘s finest.

Fabulous dining experience from being greeted upon entry all the way through dinner and leaving. First time ever being acknowledged for our celebration dinner noted on the Open Table reservation! Staff were fabulous, there when you needed something but not obtrusive. Kudos to all the chefs in the kitchen. The food was elegantly served and everything tasted as good as it looked. While Brussel Sprouts are not my favorite vegetable, these crispy wood fired sprouts with a creamy sauce were divine. Everything was perfect and made for a wonderful celebration dinner. Thank you!

The food was all delicious with favorites being the lobster bisque, hamachi carpaccio, and baked Alaska. Our server was attentive and very helpful. Definitely recommending this restaurant as a great elevated dining experience.

I liked where it is nestled into the neighborhood. It includes valet parking which is a plus. The service was immaculate however my wagyu steak was a bit too much marbling and underwhelming for the cost. I’ve had better at other establishments. The sides were good and portioned for family style but again on the pricey side. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the waitstaff were excellent and at a high level of service. Very attentive to a point where as soon as you were finished with a dish they were quick to remove the empty dish and utensils and replace with clean ones.

This was my Birthday celebration and my husband and I loved all the food, from the oysters, salad to the fish dishes. Very good service, and great ambience.

If I could give them a 10, I would. Service was faultless and friendly. Food and drinks were great and the restaurant, especially the bar, is beautiful. Can’t recommend it enough.

Jeffrey’s never disappoints. We always come here for a special occasion and the food, service and ambience cannot be matched. All the staff are very dialed in and their personalities really shine while remaining extremely professional. Could not recommend Jeffrey’s enough! Get the deviled eggs and beef tartar to start :)
