Jeffrey's Restaurant & Bar has been an Austin fine dining institution since 1975. In 2012 the restaurant closed for a major renovation and was reopened by McGuire Moorman Lambert Hospitality. The legendary restaurant, nestled in the Clarksville neighborhood just west of downtown, features a lively bar and three distinct dining rooms. The menus, from executive chef Mark McCain, features dry-aged prime steaks, updated classic fine dining, and locally sourced produce. The award-winning wine list, one of the largest and most diverse in Texas, features highly-sought after vintages from Old and New World producers. Private dining in the Napoleon Room and The Apartment is available for special events. Valet service is offered.

The charming neighborhood location, old world service & multiple private dining options make Jeffrey's a true Austin gem. Jeffrey's was named “Top 10 Best New Restaurants” in the country by Bon Appetit magazine in 2013.

    Jeffrey’s is the finest overall dining experience in Austin for classic beautiful food, outstanding service, and an incredible wine selection (albeit a pricey but outstanding selection). Each offering is well prepared and well presented. The pork belly duck rillettes are little bites of luscious tasty apps, the escargot was delightful and not the classic thick butter garlic but a fresh presentation of the seafood tidbit with fresh herbs on puff pastry. We had the venison, which was delicious and perfectly medium to dark pink, and a lighter not gamey taste with a perfect sauce and red cabbage as in old world game. Potatoes were yummy but the Brussels sprouts were possibly the best we ever had: perfectly crisp and light in the center. Service was exceptional-attentive, professional yet friendly, knowledgeable and just delightful. Thanks! This why we keep coming back!!!

    We had a wonderful celebratory dinner at Jeffrey’s! The party seated at our table before us ended up taking a long time to depart, leaving us waiting for about 45 minutes past our reservation time. The staff really made up for it with outstanding service and kind gestures, I really appreciate their nice touches and it made the issue no big deal. Food was delicious, drinks were solid, we will definitely be back!

    What a wonderful dining experience for our first night in Austin TX! The food was delicious and portioned well. Amazingly extensive wine list to select from and we were very well taken care of. So many caring employees and genuine interest in our visit. I highly recommend !

    It had even a few years since we had been in to have dinner at Jeffrey’s. The entire expedience was nothing short of perfection. This is generally our go to for our anniversary if we are in town. We felt like treasured guests and friends who come to celebrate a very special occasion. The drinks, menu and service are the best in town. So very happy that we have such an old friend in austin.

    Haven’t been to Jeffry’s in a decade. Totally remodeled interior since the last visit. Dinner was quiet, food as delicious, and the service was exceptional. We will not wait another decade to go back.
