Housed in a glorious Southern mansion in the heart of Music City, Jimmy Kelly’s continues to be the standard by which all American steakhouses are measured. Founded in 1934 while the country was in the throes of the Great Depression and just one year removed from the repeal of prohibition, Jimmy Kelly made a promise to himself and his diners. Simply put, he would serve a great steak, a generous portion of whiskey and insure the service was always attentive. Making good on that promise has been the cornerstone of the restaurant’s success and enabled it to survive and flourish. Now over 80 years later and operated by the third generation of Kellys, it has earned a reputation as one of the grand old restaurants not only in Nashville but the entire southeast. Come anytime and enjoy a great steak and a generous portion of whiskey!

                                                                              The service was excellent as well as the food. We shared a salad and a side and got our own entrees (which we shared). I got the sea bass and my husband got the filet with garlic butter sauce. Delicious!

                                                                              Came to town from Virginia, had a big snow storm but this place was still open. We came because of a recommendation from my stepfather so we made reservations ahead of time and were so beyond happy that they stayed open during the snow. Drinks were strong and good and our steaks were perfect! Isaac was a great server. We can’t wait to come back!

                                                                              The service and food at Jin Kelly’s is consistently outstanding! It’s one of the best steak houses in Nashville but the service from each and every staff person separates them from the rest!

                                                                              Always a great meal and service. We especially enjoy Claude, our waiter. He makes the evening special. Favorite place for special occasions.

                                                                              Over the summer of 2024, my wife and I was there, I had the SEAFOOD PASTA. That seafood pasta was great. Looking at your menu on Saturday, your website showed that your restaurant still had it on the menu. Plus, it showed you had calamari as an appetizer. Then when my group got to your restaurant that Saturday night, I looked at your menu, neither one was on it. Really disappointed, that was the main reason I showed up with a party of 5. Most of them wanted to try out the pasta, due to me saying how good it was. The only other options were beef, pork, and fish plates, which I buy half a beef every year, from a famer friend of mine. Therefore, it isn't an option for me, because I can have at home. Then I'm not much of a fish eater, so that has limited me to have a steak or pork chop. With the cost of your food, you should be able to change your website information to something that is up to date. Your server did a fantastic job, helping out and explaining and answering or questions
