joan's in the Park restaurant and full service bar is an elegantly cozy dining destination, located on Snelling Avenue in Highland Park. We offer a 4 course menu designed by Chef /owner Susan Dunlop, which includes distinctive American cuisine . We offer only the finest ingredients, sourced locally when possible. Maître d'/owner Joan Schmitt (and Highland Park native) offers first-class hospitality. Our carefully selected wine, beer and signature cocktail list will also appeal to all tastes. joan's is a must try, if you enjoy great food and amazing hospitality in a warm and inviting atmosphere.

                                            This was without a doubt the most special, elegant meal I’ve ever had. We’ve traveled around the world, but our dinner at Joan’s in the Park was memorable beyond any other meal we’ve had. The portions were perfect, the presentation exquisite, and the service unobtrusive yet excellent.

                                            Everything was wonderful. My only issue was there was a large group of 20 or so that occupied most of the restaurant. Because it's a small space, the noise from that group really dominated the restaurant. Made it difficult to have a nice conversation at times. Hard to beat the food and service here though. I'll be happy to give it a second try!

                                            Incredible experience all around! We were celebrating our anniversary, and the staff decorated our table with confetti, took a photo and printed it for us, and brought us complementary glasses of champagne to start our celebration off with a toast. The food was outstanding and service was top notch. We will definitely be back!

                                            Joan’s in the Park consistently delivers a menu based on high quality ingredients, deliciously and creatively prepared, with interesting wine and cocktail choices and outstanding desserts for your eating pleasure.                                             Joan's in the Park is our go-to for any celebration. The food is always phenomenal (there's always at least one course where I struggle to decide because multiple things sound fabulous), the entire team is so warm and friendly, and it feels like a treat while still having a laid back vibe. The perfect combination of welcoming neighborhood spot and 5 star fine dining.

                                            Expensive but worth it! Food presentation and flavors are amazing. Wine pairing thoughtful and generous. I didn't know we had such a five star gem in the neighborhood. Service was top notch as well!!
