Joe’s Waterfront, nestled at the crown of Boston’s North End Waterfront, showcases the best views of the Boston Harbor amidst some of the city’s most beloved historic landmarks. The menu features creatively flavorful dishes and modern fare made with local ingredients fresh from the ocean, farm, and neighborhood purveyors. Throughout the modernized dining room, nautically themed artwork and décor adorn the walls and surround diners against the gorgeous Boston Harbor backdrop that’s been woven into the story for decades. Upstairs at Joe’s debuts a comfortable new dining, lounge, and bar area with spectacular waterfront views from above. Adjacent to the lounge is a separate private dining area ideal for intimate events. Joe’s Waterfront offers brunch, lunch, and dinner with indoor and outdoor seating. Delivery and take-out options available.

                We were able to get a last minute reservation for Valentine’s Day. As expected they were extremely busy however our server was wonderful and very engaging. The food was well prepared (the muscles were amazing) and came out in a timely manner.

                Joe’s time seems to have come…and gone. This used to be a pretty good place, but our experience last night was dismal. The abundance of open tables was a first bad sign. The prevalence of young kids was another (we love kids.) The party of four unhappy looking 20 something’s yet another. Our waiter, D, could not have cared less about us and could barely manage a smile. He never refilled our water despite saying he would. The truffle fries were mushy,and the mushroom burger was cold and inedible. Never again will we waste our money here.

                Not busy on a chilly windy afternoon. Waiter went to bat for us and came up with dollar oysters even though we were early. Burger was loaded and good. Caprese salad suffered from not quite ripe tomatoes but was otherwise fine. Drinks prompt and generous.

                 Our experience at Joe’s American bar and Grill was absolutely wonderful. They seated us right when we arrived and we had the best view out the window watching the water. Our food came quickly and it was delicious! Everyone of us ordered a different brunch item and each one was delicious and warm and ready to eat. The staff was attentive and sweet and grateful. I will definitely go there again.
