Unfortunately, our experience at Joey's
was extremely awful. We arrived early
(around 6:05) for our 6:30 reservation
and were told we would be seated closer
to our reservation time. Totally
understandable, and a classy gesture by
the restaurant is having a free glass of
champagne while patrons wait for their
table.
Around 6:30, we were greeted and
informed we would be seated outside.
This was concerning since it was chilly
and a slight rain was falling. While we
asked for an inside table, the hostess
assured us that if we didn't like the table,
we could move inside. We ordered
drinks and food and neither arrived by
7:05. Additionally, the rain started to hit
us. We asked the waitress
and manager to move inside. At first, the
manager and waitress whispered and
wondered if we would simply move to a
different outside table. The manager
then asked if we would sit at the bar. We declined and were told we would get the next table. Still our drinks did not arrive and we stood outside until 7:35 to be reseated. While we were reentering the restaurant, I saw a waitress passing with our food to be served at the outdoor table. When seated, the manager insisted he would serve a complementary drink.
At this point, my wife and I began to bet
when they would find us to serve the
food. It was roughly 7:45, and the
complementary drinks showed at
8:00pm. All this for a cheeseburger and
salad!
After finishing our meal shortly after 8
pm, we were informed the waitress was
going on a break, so we asked for our
check. Again, another half-hour wait, and
we finally received the check at 8:33pm
After asking for a printed receipt of the
final total, and after another lengthy wait, we were informed the machine was not
printing the final receipt. Interestingly,
they could print a bill but not a receipt.
We departed after taking a picture of the
Regional Manager and Share Holder's
name which is displayed on the wall. Mr.
Kent Strom, we had an awful experience
